About us

Western Fencing Club is part of RISE in Hoppers Crossing, an early childhood extracurricular activity club that offers a variety of classes and sports for young children.

Our fencing club began in 2024, born from a shared passion for introducing the art, discipline, and excitement of fencing to Melbourne’s western suburbs. Since our start, we’ve been committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where children of all skill levels can learn, improve, and have fun.

At Western Fencing Club, we believe fencing is more than just a sport. It’s a way to build confidence, focus, and resilience. Each class helps students develop coordination, strategic thinking, and respect for others, both on and off the piste.

Led by our experienced coach from Hungary, who brings international training and a deep love for the sport, we offer both private and group lessons designed to suit every fencer’s journey. Our group programs are structured across three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced, ensuring every student can progress at their own pace while feeling challenged and supported.

As part of the RISE community, we’re passionate about helping kids stay active, make friends, and discover the joy of fencing in a safe, positive atmosphere. Whether your child is just picking up a foil for the first time or dreaming of competing one day, Western Fencing Club is here to guide them every step of the way.
